Tuesday night was a big night for the Iron Pigs. They played the Blue Claws, Austin's team. Luckily our fan shirts came in. Dallin, Luke and I all have Iron Pigs shirts that say Jack, #3 on the back. And Jack had extra fans to cheer for him, thanks to the awesome Trahan family.
Jack played pretty well. He didn't want to tag Austin out though. I'm glad he values his friendship ;-) It was fun to see friends in the field!

Our New House
We bought a house and we are so excited. It has a great, fenced in backyard, big bedrooms, and it's in a great, quiet neighborhood.
We have been busy cleaning, packing, and just enjoying our new place!

Let's Play Ball!
The Iron Pigs had their first game of the season on Tuesday night.
Dallin was out of town, but luckily Jack's fan club showed up.
Our awesome friends, Austin, Ryanne, and Jen showed up to cheer for Jack and Jen brought her fancy camera and took some great shots of our baseball player.
His first time up at bat!
He was so proud of himself about running the bases.
He knew right where to go.
Woo hoo - I'm on third base!
Headed home!
And he scores!
Look at that proud face!
I love that baseball player!
Waiting to head back out.
Poor Luke has an ear infection
But he still put on his baseball cap and supported his big brother.
He even gave us a few smiles, despite being sick.
Once they were fielding, things were hilarious.
They would try to dogpile their teammates to get the ball.
And they were very upset when they didn't get it.
A few tears were shed.
Jack was always ready and on alert, even throwing a few elbows to get the ball.
Be aggressive!
A their second game, the coach instituted a "take turns" policy on getting the ball to eliminate the tears and fights. It seems to be working much better.
We are so excited for baseball season!
We welcome any of Jack's fans to come and cheer for him!

Opening Day
Baseball Opening Ceremonies were this morning
Jack is on the Iron Pigs and got his uniform.
He looks super cute...
He ran into his friend Austin.
Even though they are on different teams, they are still good buddies.
Who knows what they are doing in this picture, but they had fun playing around together before ceremonies started
Then he joined up with his team to head into the ceremonies.
He has made friends with a boy named Aayden on his team and they really like to play together.
When it was time for ceremonies, the coach called their names and they ran to home plate.
This is Jack running....
Then there was the National Anthem, some speeches, and the first pitch was thrown.
We finished off with team pictures.
Then we went to lunch with Austin and his family to get our energy back after a fun filled morning!

Luke and the Lizards
No, it's not the name of a band. The lizards have come out if hibernation and our little animal lover is fascinated by them. The first lizard he saw was crawling on the BBQ, so now he stands by the BBQ pointing excitedly every time we go outside, hoping to see another. He will watch any lizard he sees for as long as it is in sight, pointing excitedly. And he was thrilled to see a lizard on his bedroom window as he was getting ready for bed tonight. Oh, the things boys like!

Big Day on the Bayou
An exciting event occurred this weekend. Jack caught his first fish! He actually caught several fish. He was afraid to touch it, but Luke had no fear as he took a break from throwing rocks in the water.

Playing Around
Grammy and Gramp sent a gift card for Easter.
So these two cuties invested in a bubble machine.
It is the most fun they've had together in a long time.
They are both fascinated by it and play with it non-stop for an hour at a time.
And they love playing it together.
There hasn't been any arguing.
And there have been lots of smiles.
They also got new shovels and pails.
They keep busy digging in the dirt and collecting sticks.
But now we are having a bit of a cold snap, so we are playing inside.
We always look good when we play!

Family Easter
The Easter bunny paid us a visit
He left chocolate bunnies and swimsuits
And he hid eggs filled with candy around our house.
Luke couldn't put down his beloved chocolate bunny.
He knew exactly what was in there.
He had a nutritious breakfast of chocolate.
The rest of our Easter was spent at church.
The we had a nice dinner and had a low key day together as a family.
