Luke's First Hours

Luke was born right at 6 on Wednesday night.

He and Mom got cleaned up and checked and found that they were both doing awesome.

Then it was time to bring on the party.

Jack had spent the day in the care of his wonderful, amazing, patient uncles and was ready to meet his brother. As soon as he came in the room, he gave Mom a hug and told her, "Uke, Out." He knew Luke was here and wanted to meet him. Luke brought him the rest of the Wonder Pets stuffed animals and Jack wanted to hold him and kiss him.

Uncle Will was excited to meet Luke and hold him since we're leaving so soon.

Aunt Lacie gave Luke some good loves and was great about helping Jack get good looks at him.

It took some coaxing, but we finally got nervous Uncle Andrew to hold him.

Then it was bath time. Jack wanted to take a bath too, but had to content himself by watching from the window.

Luke is all cleaned up and still looking as cute as ever!

Back for some more snuggles from Daddy and Jack.

Jack just wants to hold him every time he sees him.

Luke was pretty worn out after his first hours of fun and slept pretty well the rest of the night.

He's a great eater and sleeper so far and holding his weight really well.

We love him so much!

Welcome to the World, Luke!

Lucas Scott Coffman was born Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at 6:00pm.

He was 7 lbs. 15 oz and 19 inches tall.

He has a beautiful head of dark hair and big alert eyes.

We are so excited to welcome our sweet baby into the family!

Jack already loves Baby "Uke" so much and wants to hold him.

He is a very happy, healthy baby and both Mom and Luke are doing fabulous!

Falling In Love With Fall

We took our annual drive through the Alpine Loop to enjoy the fall leaves.

This is probably our final family pic as a family of 3.

The leaves were beautiful and Jack enjoyed riding around on Dad's shoulders.

Jack couldn't resist collecting leaves.

He had to get at least one of each color.

He's getting good at recognizing his colors - "ellow," "ornge," "ed"

Then he did some modeling.

I especially enjoyed how he was Mr. Cool with his hands in his pockets.

Then he busted out his wonderful fake smile.

Hey, he's still cute, even if he is a goofball.

We had a great drive and loved seeing the gorgeous leaves. That is definitely something we'll miss about Utah.

Then we came home and had eggplant parmesan (another supposed labor inducer.) Still no baby...

What Will It Take?

We are very anxiously awaiting the arrival of our newest little man.

I am now 37/38 weeks, depending on whose due date you're going on.

With all the excitement going on with our move, we are hoping he decides to come sooner rather than later.

Plus he seems very ready to come - he's dropped very low, Mom's had some contractions, all the little signs.

And Mom is so ready for him to come too. I do not remember being this uncomfortable at 38 weeks with Jack.

We have all his clothes washed and ready.

His bed and bouncy seat are set to go.

The hospital bag is packed.

Things for Big Brother are squared away.

Now he just needs to come.

We've spend the weekend trying different things.

I embarrassed Dallin by jogging in the Walmart parking lot.

We went on a bouncy motorcycle ride.

I've eaten fresh pineapple.

We went on a very bouncy golf cart ride.

We went on a bumpy ride at the cemetery.

I've taken walks around the block with one foot on the curb, one foot off.

I thought we were getting closer because I was throwing up most of Sunday and Monday and having some contractions.

When I went to the doctor on Monday, he sent me over to Labor and Delivery to get the baby monitored and to get me rehydrated.

I was hoping they'd just admit me and just have the baby.

But, alas, we're still waiting.

Baby Brother, we can't wait to meet you! Please come soon!

Hee Haw!

We went to Hee Haw Farms for our annual Halloween trip.

Jack is getting as tall as the great pumpkin.

But he's definitely way cuter!

We went through the corn maze.

And really had a hard time getting out.

We may have had to come out the entrance :-)

Jack rode the tire horses.

Went down the slide

He loved the petting zoo

He enjoyed feeding the animals, but was a bit afraid to get his hand too close.

What a big goat!

One of his favorite parts was playing in the corn.

We just kept going back for "more, more, more!"

He even got buried in the corn.

We found a lot of corn in his shoes after and even some in his diaper!

He got to take his first pony ride

He stuck it out even though he was pretty scared

We went on the trick or treat hay ride

And even got some candy!

Jack loved shooting the corn cannon

And couldn't get enough of the bouncy haunted house.

We had another great year at Hee Haw Farms!

It was a great way to end our time in Utah!

Busy With Nothing

So I haven't blogged in awhile.

I guess we're in a bit of a funk around here.

Jack was really sick for about a week.

It turned out he had a virus that caused sores and blisters in his mouth and throat.

He was miserable - he didn't sleep, eat much, and basically just whined and cried all the time.

He did get a package from Aunt Shari that cheered him up - Curious George pajamas and book.

We're slowly working on packing for our move.

Jack loves the boxes.

He keeps begging me to put together more boxes to play with and pack.

The weather has cooled off and we even got some snow, which excited Jack quite a bit.

I don't mind it so much, since I feel like I've been so hot for the last few months. Oh the joys of pregnancy!

It also helps to know that we won't be here for the bulk of the winter, so we don't mind enduring the cold for a little while.

Jack has discovered a new favorite snack - apples and cheese.

Mmmmmm...

So yeah, not much going on here, at least nothing too blog worthy.

Hopefully we'll have a baby to blog about soon...
