Birthday Extravaganza, Part 3

Our final stop was the Houston Museum of Natural Science, aka the Dinosaur Museum.

Our dinosaur lovers were in heaven

Kate was not impressed and opted for a nap instead.

We also saw exhibits about Texas wildlife, African wildlife, rare gems, sea life (like the giant squid)

Native America, and ancient Egypt.

The boys also enjoyed a 3D prehistoric movie.

Kate couldn't handle the movie so we explored outside for awhile.

Then it was time for the insects!

We loved looking for butterflies in their habitat.

It was a great day full of lots of awesome memories!

Birthday Extravaganza, Part 2

Nana and Pop Pop joined us in Houston for a visit to the zoo.

A big hit was watching the elephant baths. The boys watched for the longest time.

The kids cruised around in our new wagon, when Kate wasn't trying to climb out of it. She is quite the monkey.

A handsome guy checking out the giraffes.

A carousel ride is always fun.

The boys were brave at the petting zoo.

It was an extremely hot day, so we had to find cool places, lots of drinks, and Dip'N Dots, of course.

It's safe to say we were exhausted by the end!

Birthday Extravaganza, Part 1

We spent the weekend in Houston celebrating Jack's birthday. We got upgraded to a suite with a nice balcony view of the pool.

We relaxed and read outside.

Then hit the pool for some good times.

There was even some smooching going on.

Despite the look on her face, Kate loved floating on her back.

It was a fun way to kick off a fun weekend.

SIX

Jack turned SIX!

We went out to dinner the night before at Tony's Pizza where he enjoyed the spaghetti.

Then we headed home to open LOTS of presents.

Including a very cool Lego set, games, a model T-Rex, and clothes.

Then it was time for dinosaur cake!

And an evening of building dinosaurs and Legos.

On his actual birthday we had friends over to swim and spent the day playing with all his new loot!

Busy Little People

Our house is always full of movement.

The kids love being outside, despite the heat and humidity.

Grammy and Gramp sent Jack Magnaforms for his birthday and it has been HOURS of entertainment at our house.

Dallin and Jack went to a movie on Saturday, so Luke, Kate and I had a birthday shopping/Chick Fil A/frozen yogurt date.

Kate is gearing up for her upcoming beach vacation with her new shades.

Kate likes to live on the edge. I am constantly rescuing her from the top bunk, the toilet and situations like this - standing on a box on top of the Lego table.
