Sister Sass

Our favorite missionary's birthday was last week so we made posters and took pictures of ourselves for her.

Jack spent almost an hour working on his. He added all kinds of detail, including 21 candles and a name tag with the name Sister Sass.

Luke copied his from my page but the letters on his own. His cake had four candles because everyone is turning four.

And Kate worked hard on her picture!

Sass loved her pictures of course! Happy birthday to her!

Fire Station Fun

We went on a field trip to the fire station!
We invited lots of friends to join us!

We toured the station and were even allowed to stand in the bucket.

Our favorite part was watching it lift high into the sky

We also were able to learn about the tools on the truck and their uniforms.

It was super fun!

Winter is snowmen, made of cotton balls.

Spring is showers, made from our fingerprints

Post Mardi Gras Fun

On the last day of Mardi Gras break, we went to the library for a really fun story time. They learned about jazz and then painted pictures that are on display.

Then we met up with friends for hiking around Sam Houston State Park.

The kids ran nearly the whole way.

We had a picnic lunch and enjoyed the fun outside before we had to get back to school. It was a beautiful day!

Mardi Gras

We finally made it to some Mardi Gras parades this year after being here got four years.

We went to the Krewe of Omega parade.

The kids loved catching the candy and beads they threw from the floats.

The more beads, the better!

Then we enjoyed the short and cute dog parade. All the dogs were dressed up

It was fun to see all the costumes.

We had so much fun that we can't wait to go again next year!

Sunny Days

We encountered a beautiful but cool day so we ran with it...right to the park

We did some hiking.

Luke was paranoid we might see a banana spider since we saw one last time we were there.

We had a picnic lunch by the river.

And then did more hiking by the bridge.

We kept our eyes open for local wildlife.

Then played away on the toys.

It was a super fun day in the sunshine

Sugar and Spice

Kate is getting to be s big girl. She is very independent and wants to do everything herself. She gets very upset when you try to help her. She climbs on everything, including the table. She refuses to sit in her high chair and wants to sit at the table. She recently started to go to nursery without much of a fuss. She's 1 going on 16.
