Little Slugger

 

Lucas was on a roll. He scored three runs and even tagged all THREE OUTS in one inning at pitcher. He loves baseball! He was in his uniform three hours before the game. That's how much he loves the game. 

Little Van Gogh

 

Jack's gifted class took a fiend trip to Painting With A Twist. They learned about Vincent Van Gogh and then recreated one of his paintings. He loves art!

Gardening/Welcome Richard

Spring has sprung and we got to work on our garden!  First we planted our flowers in their pots. 
 

We also planted our garden. It's going to be good this year. Cucumbers, peppers, squash, green beans, carrots, tomatoes, lettuce, and zucchini! And Dallin built covers to protect them from the torrential rain, so our garden doesn't drown like last year. 

 

We found this little turtle living in Lolo's yard. Not sure how she got in there, but the kids were thrilled by him. Jack named him Richard. He spent a few days living in the water table. 

 

Until he moved into this awesome setup!

 

He's pretty popular around here! 

Teacher Appreciation

The church put on our annual Teacher Appreciation Night. This year the theme was Dr Seuss. We had a program using Dr Seuss quotes and quotes from General Authorities on teaching, songs were sung, and Jack read a poem based on "Oh The Places You'all Go!"

Jack's teacher, Mrs. Stutes, attenddd and Luke adopted her too since his teachers couldn't make it. We had a taco bar dinner and lots of fun Dr. Seuss themed desserts. It was a very special evening! 

Spring Arrival

Spring is here and we are trying to maximize our park time before the heat and humidity kick in. 

Kate and Blaire had fun playing in the fountain and enjoying the sunshine. 

They led us all over the park, being busy little ladies! 

Opening Day

Baseball season has officially kicked off! 

Both the A's and the Twins each played two games and had pictures on top of Opening Ceremonies so it was a fun and busy first day at the fields. But they are both super excited 

Jack was nervous about starting coach pitch, but managed to hit the ball and score in both games. Luke played pitcher and got five tagged outs for his team. It's going to be a great season!

FieldTrip Fun

The second grade went on a fun field trip and I tagged along. First the saw the high school put on the play Madagascar Junior. It was very cute!

Then they went to Skate City/Jump City. There were tons of cute, inexperienced skaters out there. It was amazing no one got hurt!

They skated, jumped and ate hot dogs! 

What more could a second grader want!
