He's pretty proud of himself and we are pretty proud of him too!

Biker Dude
We've had Jack's old bike with the training wheels in storage for awhile. Well we finally got it out for Luke. And after a little practice, he is a bike riding expert.
He rides up and down the driveway and rode for our whole walk.

RV and Boat Show Excitement
We made our annual trip to the RV and Boat Show. Luke was obsessed with checking out and driving every boat.
We met up with our friends and checked out the RV's. There were some there that were fancier than our house!
And of course we enjoyed the fishing tank.
They both caught fish, but Jack was the only one brave enough to go near it.
It was another fun show!

8 Months
Kate is now 8 months old!
She is a busy little lady who loves to play and chew on everything.
She does NOT like baby food. She will eat some rice cereal, but spits everything else out. She'd rather be gnawing on whatever we are eating. Her second tooth is just about to break through.
She just got the hang of crawling and is into everybody's things now. She has also pulled herself to standing on a few things.
She loves her family, but Mommy is her most favorite. She lights up for Daddy and her brothers though.
We love our little sweetheart!

The Land Before Time
While in Houston, Dallin had to work, so we headed to the Museum of Natural Sciences for some fun. First we visited the butterfly room.
There were butterflies everywhere.
We also saw this funny fish that Luke thought was hilarious.
Then we spent a very long time enjoying the dinosaurs. Jack wants to be a paleontologist when he grows up, so he was in heaven.
He normally doesn't like his picture taken, but asked for me to snap pictures of him in front of most of the dinosaurs.
Luke was a little nervous but eventually warmed up.
We checked out the other exhibits, but nothing could beat the dinosaurs, so we want back there again!

Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh My
Mardi Gras is s pretty big deal here. Like in that Jack had three days of school off and Dallin had the Tuesday off too. So we decided at the last minute to go to Houston and go to the zoo.
The day started out very cold so as bundled up and checked out a lot of the indoor displays.
Kate loves checking out the animals.
Soon the sun came out and things started to warm up. It was a great day to be at the zoo. The weather was cool, but pleasant and hardly anyone was there because of it and because Texas doesn't let everyone out for Mardi Gras.
Sadly the monkeys weren't out due to the chill, so these were the only monkeys we saw.
By the end of the day, everyone was exhausted.
The carousel was lots of fun. Kate was giggling throughout her whole ride
If you look closely you can see three cute prairie dogs in the bubbles. But it was well worth it for the fun!

Mushy Gushy Love
We showed our love on Valentine's Day. We decorated sugar cookies.
Mmm, delicious!
We heart attacked the kids' doors and gave them little gift bags with candy and a book
Kate looked cute in her heart outfit.
It was a beautiful day so we spent some time outside.
Dallin made me one of his famous traditional gourmet meals.
And gave me tulips to plant!
It was a love-ly day!

Little Tooth
In the midst of all the misery of being sick, Kate was also teething. Being sick + teething = a very unhappy baby. But the tooth has finally broken through. If you look really closely at the bottom, you can see it.
And it helped her gnaw on some carrots at dinner!

Down and Out
The last ten days have been yucky as each member of our family has fallen victim to a nasty cold.
There's been a lots of sadness and runny noses and fevers
And a ridiculous amount of coughing
But I think we've emerged on the other side and everyone is slowly on the mend.
Winter can be tough

Projects
Jack has turned creative lately and loves to do projects that he's come up with. He spent most of his Saturday at the table drawing, coloring, cutting, gluing, and taping. He made Iron Mam armor (as seen in the picture), an Iron Man puppet, Captain America's mask and shield, a Captain America puppet, a book about the Avengers and a book about dinosaurs. He's a busy creative boy!
