Trick Or Treating

Due to a big storm on Halloween, trick or treating in some places got switched to the night before. So we had fun with our friends! We had a yummy chili dinner, then headed out!

These boys walked over a mile in their quest for candy!

And the puppies rode in the wagon.

They were pretty tired afterwards...

But had fun playing around together and eating candy!

Happy Halloween!

Halloween Fever

We are going crazy around here with Halloween excitement!

I made some Halloween decor this year

A wreath

And spooky blocks. We also had to make a countdown chain because someone kept asking how many days until Halloween.

We went to a Halloween party with some of our fun preschool friends.

Spider-man brought these spooky spider treats.

We carved pumpkins!!

The boys love their jack-o-lanterns and keep going outside to play "scary jack-o-lanterns". They examine their pumpkins and then run away and hide like they are scared. Again. And again. And again.

The library had a fun costume story time.

With dancing

And trick or treating.

And we've just been plain silly!

We love Halloween!

Krazy Kangaroos

The letter K means kangaroos!

We read some fun books like Katy No Pocket and Does A Kangaroo Have A Mother Too? And we watched a video all about kangaroos.

We measured how long a kangaroo hop compares to their own hop. 30 feet vs 3 feet!

And hopped through the letter K!

They decorated cool pouches.

And became kangaroos.

Then they collected cards with K and k to put in the pouches.

They made sure to leave any other letter on the floor.

They loved learning about measuring

And used their little rulers to measure everything.

Our final activity was starting our All About Me books. We talked about hair and eye color today.

Party Like It's Your Birthday

Luke turned TWO on Saturday!

We kicked the weekend off the night before  with a picnic dinner with his favorite - Raising Cane's!

Jack loves that bread! Double fisting it!

The day began with a donut breakfast before heading out to ride four wheelers.

Spider man stopped to pick him up for a ride.

The stake decided to throw him a party and call it the Jennings Fall Fest.

There was a ride on a horse drawn wagon.

And lots of games and yummy gumbo.

Then it was time for trunk or treat.

They scored lots of candy and ate it up in our trunk.

After a nap and more four wheeling, we headed to another party. This time the ward wanted to celebrate Luke and called it the ward Fall Fest.

They rode on swings, played games, and even went through a haunted house. I took Jack through with his friends Ryanne and Austin. All three were crying when we came out. It was that scary!

Luke won a cupcake at the cake walk.

After enjoying hot dogs and the bonfire, we headed out for more trunk or treat. We even decorated our trunk to look like a spooky mouth, black light and all. It was a great birthday and we had two exhausted boys when we got home.
