Since we were traveling over the Christmas holiday, we has some early Christmas fun. We opened some of our presents before we left!
Kate liked her presents.
But liked the wrapping paper more - I even found some in her poop the next day.

Sitting Pretty
Kate has been practicing sitting on her own and is getting better every day!
Today she sat for five whole minutes!
We love our cute big girl!

Santa Claus Is Coming To Town
We attended the library Christmas story time pajama party.
Kate was the best listener of my bunch. The others were too excited for Santa! Until he actually came out...
Jack hung back and was too nervous to sit on Santa's lap. He whispered what he wanted. Luke went and jumped right on his lap, but wouldn't say anything
Nobody was very impressed with this dude.
Afterwards we went to see the dancing Christmas lights. What a show!

Overachiever
Jack had student led conferences tonight at school. During the conference, he showed us all the things he does at school and all the things that he's learned, as well as giving us a tour of his classroom. He is doing so well and did a great job explaining everything to us. His teacher told us that he is an overachiever that always wants to make sure everything is finished and done correctly. We are so proud of him!

Picture Perfect Party
This year we hosted an Ugly Sweater Party. We made a big pot of gumbo and invited friends for food, fun and lots of desserts!
The adults donned their ugly sweaters and the kids wore pajamas. We had a photo booth set up for lots of picture fun!
It was a super fun night with lots of fun friends!

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas
We turned on the Christmas tunes (you should hear Luke sing along), poured some sparking cider and munched on donuts, and decorated the house for Christmas.
Luke was very into it. Jack was excited but also has a tummy ache (that's a whole other post for another time). And Kate liked watching.
The finished product is magnificent!
And outside is pretty too.
We can't wait for Christmas!

Working Off the Turkey
The day after Thanksgiving we headed to the park (which is no easy feat with two babies in the house)
The park itself was super crowded so we just played football and ran around for awhile.
We also took a ride on a horse drawn carriage.
And enjoyed the sunset over the lake.

A Day of Thanks
We had a great Thanksgiving full of delicious food
A visit from a cousin
An outdoor feast just like the Pilgrims
Lots of games
And of course pie to round it out
We are thankful Will, Bethany, and Carter were able to share in this Thanksgiving with us.
