Cousin Connection

Jack had a blast when all of his cousins came to visit last week.

They did all sorts of fun things.

Shooting Guns

Eli and Jack proved that they are a lot like their daddies when they spent a long time shooting Jack's Nerf guns.

The kids loved feeding the ducks whatever snacks we could find in our diaper bags.

We got our tortoise out and the kids were fascinated.

BYU Football Game

Uncle John was kind enough to get tickets for everyone to go to the BYU football game.

We met at the Cougar Eat beforehand for dinner and Jack enjoyed some ice cream.

Gymnastics

Savannah and Camden taught Jack about gymnastics and now he can't stop doing somersaults everywhere.

Ice Blocking

We went to the park and ended up getting to use some ice blocks that were left.

There were races and lots of fun!

We had so much fun with the cousins and can't wait to see them again!

The Other Wedding of the Year

There have been some big weddings this year and we were able to attend another big wedding last week.

Uncle Andrew (aka Ouse, in Jack speak) married Lacie in the Salt Lake Temple on September 21st.

All the cool kids were on hand, including Uncle Will and roommate Tyler.

Pop Pop and Nana were able to spend time with all their cute grandkids.

After the wedding, we had a delicious lunch at the Lion House.

Then we headed to the reception at a fun reception hall in Lindon.

Unfortunately I had a pretty unhappy fellow on my hands at that point and didn't get to take any pictures.

But it was decorated beautifully, had wonderful Hawaiian food, and some fun dancing.

Grrrr...Bear World

When we were first married, we took a trip to Rexburg and visited Bear World.

While we were there again, we decided to take Jack and Gramma along for the fun.

We let Jack sit in the front seat since you only drive 5 miles an hour.

He loved seeing the animals right outside his car window - deer, elk, turkeys.

Then there were the bears.

There were so many and they were right outside our car.

It was crazy.

Then we stopped at the gift shop and petting zoo area.

Jack was scared to death of this fake bear.

He thought Daddy was going to feed him to the bear and I've never seen so much panic on his poor little face.

He got to see how he measured up to a grizzly bear.

We had a fun family picture...

And another one...we're just waiting for our other little bear cub to come.

Jack liked watching the bear cubs wrestle each other - probably because he's such an exceptional wrestler too.

He loves the book If You Give A Moose A Muffin, so it was very exciting to see a real moose.

He was able to pet all sorts of animals - including a pig,

a deer,

and a goat.

Then he rode some rides.

We weren't too sure how well he'd do since he freaked out at the 4th of July carnival.

He liked the choo-choo, especially since Daddy could ride with him.

The bumper cars made him a little nervous.

We had a fun time at Bear World with our cute little bear cub.

Breaking News

We are moving!

Dallin was offered a job with ES&H, an environmental consulting company, which is just what he wants to be doing with his degree. He's really excited for the opportunity.

The office that he will be based out of is in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

He starts October 31.

This is kind of crazy timing since baby is due right around then, but we will make it work.

Dallin is really excited to return to Lake Charles, since that is where he grew up.

I am excited to see Lake Charles, since I've never been there.

Here's to our next big adventure!

Hotels Heaven

When we were in Rexburg, we were able to stay in a hotel with Gramp and Gramma.

Jack loved the hotel.

He enjoyed lounging on the bed and watching shows.

He loved driving his cars off the bed.

He had fun getting into the Kleenex's and toilet paper.

He loved playing on the bed.

He had a great time going down to the pool and swimming, in the both the cold and hot pools.

His favorite was going to Gramp's room, knocking on the door, and then playing in there too.

He would hop around in excitement every time we went anywhere.

He'll want to stay in a hotel every weekend!

Open House in Rexburg

This weekend we made a quick trip to Rexburg, ID for Aunt Whitney and Uncle Jared's open house.

It was held at a hotel in town and was very pretty.

They had lots of yummy sweet treats - frozen yogurt and toppings, cupcakes, cookies, flavored popcorn

I loved how it was decorated with lots of pictures of the cute couple.

My friend Kellie lives in Rexburg and was able to come with her cute baby, Aksel.

Jack loved Aksel and couldn't get enough of playing with him and kissing him.

We had a great time at the open house and were so grateful to Jared's parents for their hospitality!

Dr. Coffman

While we were at my doctor's appointment this week, Jack practiced his doctor skills.

There was a play stethoscope there that he loved using.

And when we left, he left wearing a mask.

Don't want Dr. Jack spreading any germs!

California Dreaming

Ever since we went to California, Jack has been obsessed with the "beash."

He begs to go to the beach on a daily basis and will stand at the door with his buckets.

I've tried taking him to a park with sand to appease him - it was a temporary happiness.

We took him up the canyon - after he insisted on wearing his swim suit or his "toot" - to play in the water by Bridal Veil Falls.

And we are forced to watch the same episode of Curious George over and over. This episode takes place, of course, at the "beash."

We need to make another California visit. And soon. Or this boy is going to go crazy wishing for the "beash."

32 or Maybe 33 Weeks

Last week I went for my check up and was measuring bigger than normal.

So the doctor sent me in for an ultrasound today.

And Baby Brother is measuring about a week bigger than his original due date.

He is now about 4 1/2 lbs and the doctor estimates that he will be about 7 1/2 lbs by the time he arrives.

In the ultrasound we got to see fingers, legs, head, belly, and even some hair.

He is a very active fellow that is constantly moving and I can tell that he is getting cramped because he is getting more powerful.

I am definitely getting to the point where I am ready to be done.

I am exhausted, swollen, have heartburn, and am forced to waddle around.

Hopefully we can make it through these last few weeks!

Labor Day: Work and Fun

We started out Labor Day by working hard.

Dallin and Jack helped Uncle Andrew change the oil on his car.

Jack loved getting out the tools.

And he spent the whole time working on the back tire.

It must have been in bad shape until Jack took good care of it.

Then we went to BYU campus and fed the ducks at the duck pond.

We took a little walk and Jack practiced his rock climbing.

He managed to climb the whole way all by himself.

We were amazed at how strong those little calves looked as he flexed while climbing.

Ta-da! Jack made it to the top!

He also loved throwing rocks in the stream.

He had a fun Labor Day morning, both with the work and the fun!
