Buddies

While the boys don't always get along, they have gotten to the age where they like playing together more.

Some favorite games:

Deputy and sheriff as pictures above

Anything with dinosaurs (Jack is obsessed with dinosaurs these days)

Playing in the sandbox

Climbing trees

Playing in the sprinkler

And they are always making up games that I don't even know about.

It's fun seeing them use their imaginations together

On the Boardwalk

The next day Jack had to go to school. Luke entertained his customers (his word for visitors) by taking them to the park for some playtime.

We took them on a walk on the boardwalk by the lake.

We tried to get a picture with the grandparents, but Luke is against posing for pictures these days.

He was fascinated by this fisherman.

Once Jack got home from school, we headed to Grammy and Gramp's hotel pool for some swimming.

Louisiana Adventures

We took our California visitors on some Louisiana adventures.

First we took them to the Gator Chateau to see the alligators

And to hold the baby alligators.

Kate was my only child brave enough to get close to the baby gator.

Then we headed to Shucks in Abbeville for some amazing food. Shrimp, catfish and of course, gator bites!

Then it was off to Avery Island to the Tabasco Factory.

Jack was fascinated by the factory and was excited for all the sample bottles of Tabasco sauce.

They even had games!

Kate started to fuss right before the tour, so we hung out on a swing and took selfies together.

The boys sure love Aunt Sass!

We also had fun sampling the different Tabasco products (ice cream and soda, anyone?) and trying on the various outfits.

Then we headed home for some crawfish étouffée and relaxing time!

Grandparents Day

I know Grandparents Day was officially a few weeks ago but we were lucky to have both sets of grandparents here last weekend for Kate's blessing. Beforehand, Dallin spent hours building a deck in our backyard. It turned out amazing!

Luke whipped up a pot of gumbo

The boys loved playing with the grandpas - rockets, baseball, wrestling, board games, stories.  The fun was non stop.

And Kate loved being held by everyone and showing off her adorable face.

It doesn't get much better!

Three Months

Our cute Kate is now three months old!

She is the sweetest, happiest baby. She loves to smile and is only fussy when she's hungry or tired. She will talk to you when you talk to her and gets very excited about it.  She has started to grab things and I always catch her grabbing her dress and pulling it up. We need to work on modesty.

She eats well and sleeps well most of the time. She catnaps in the morning and evening and takes a long nap in the afternoon. Kate does a lot of kicking and squirming on the floor and can scoot herself on her back. She can roll from stomach to back and is trying hard to get from back to stomach.

It's amazing to see how she has grown!

She is the cutest and we are happy to have such an awesome baby in our family! We love our little Kate!

A Name and a Blessing

Today our beautiful baby girl was given a name and a blessing by her daddy.

She was blessed to be healthy and strong physically, strong in the gospel, and to marry in the temple, as well as to receive counsel from her mother.

We love her beautiful dress and all the details.

In the blessing circle, Dallin was joined by both grandpas, Brennon Courville, and Mark Morris.

We were so blessed to have family visiting us.

Nana and PopPop came from San Antonio.

And Grammy and Gramp came from California.

And brought Aunt Sass with them.

We are so happy that Kate Lorily is part of our family.

She is the sweetest little girl.

And loved by all
