B is for Beach

OOur preschool field trip this week was to the BEACH!

It was a gorgeous day! The water was clear, the beach was empty, the shrimp boats were going by.

These two become BFF's and giggled, splashed, and kept taking off down the beach together.

The favorite activity was sitting in the water and laughing hysterically when the waves hit you.

It was a great beach day and a great field trip!

Brought To You By the Letter B

This week we worked on B, 1, and triangles at preschool.

We went on a treasure hunt with clues that led us to a box of toys that start with b.

Including boats

We decorated B's with ball stickers.

And snacked on bananas and cheese sticks that look like the number 1.

We played a counting/racing ball game.

And made triangles and boats out of Play Doh.

And had to play with more boats to finish out the day.

And for the record, I've found about 100 of these "selfies" on my phone. At least it's a super cute face!

Preschool Adventures

On Thursday Jack went for his first day of preschool away from our house

Looking cute with his backpack

Jen sent me pictures throughout the morning

Saying the Pledge of Allegiance

Working hard

Tracing circles. He had an amazing time and spent the rest of the day talking about it.

Another part of preschool is field trips. Our current social studies unit is about where we live. Well we live in a place with lots of interesting wildlife.

We went to Jennings to check out the baby alligators.

Our preschool boys.

Their little brothers are lucky they get to tag along too. They were all amazed at the alligators behind the fence.

We got to touch the alligators although everyone was too chicken to actually hold the baby gator.

He was scared to death.

But touched it really quickly.

Luke was a little more brave.

I even touched it too!

Then we went out to check out the ducks at the lake.

I love my boys!

We headed to Dairy Queen for lunch.

It was a super fun field trip to cap off a great first week of preschool!

A carload of cute boys!

First Day of Preschool

A friend and I decided to do preschool together. We each teach one day a week and then have one field trip each week. Today was our first day and I was the first teacher.

We took first day of school pictures.

Luke joined in because he's my assistant teacher.

The boys worked hard. We worked on the letter A, number 0, circles, and our address.

The fingerpainted apple trees.

Played Zero Steps

Worked in the workbooks I made

While the boys worked, Luke painted for a long time. It was a masterpiece.

We snacked on Zeros (bagels) and animal crackers.

And played Zero Pennies. Their favorite seemed to be our circle hunt. They didn't want to stop. They all seemed to have a blast and I had so much fun teaching again! It's going to be a great year!
