Grammy and Gramp Come to Town

Grammy and Gramp came to visit and we showed them a good ol Louisiana time. We fed them crawfish, gumbo, and boudin.

We had an exciting adventure to the beach, where we got the swagger wagon stuck in the sand.

We enjoyed the sunshine, played in the sand and gathered seashells.

We also took them crabbing. We didn’t have much luck catching crabs, but it was a beautiful day anyway.

We played a lot of backyard baseball, with boys against girls.

Kate didn’t want them to go, so she tried to stowaway in their suitcase. We can’t wait until they come again!

A New Friend

We recently started babysitting Bea. She’s the little sister that Kate has always dreamed of. Kate helps feed, dress, and play with her. It’s her very own baby doll!

The Graduate

Lucas brought him his kindergarten graduate pictures. He’s certainly a handsome little scholar!

Blech

A stomach bug went through our house. Kate was the first victim...24 hours of fever and throw up. Then Mommy. Lucas fell hard at Sam’s Club. Then Jack was the victim. Somehow Dallin escaped the fun! Lucky lucky man!

Let’s Go To The Movies

It was a rainy Saturday, so we went to the movies. We saw Sherlock Gnomes. The music was fun and the seats were comfy! It was a nice way to spend a Saturday morning

Lunch Date

I had a doctor’s appointment that Kate had to tag along with me to. Since she was such a good girl, we went to Chick Fil A afterwards. She was by far the cutest lunch date in town!

Rainy Days

Our final day of Spring Break was rainy, so we made cookies for a friend that got hurt, then headed to the Children’s Museum

We didn’t spend a long time at the museum because everyone was hungry and ready for lunch. We ate Sam’s Club pizza. Sam’s Club was the hit of the day! The kids had more fun there than they did at the museum! Oh the simple pleasures!

Feeling Crabby

After the beach, we decided to give crabbing a try.

We used chicken necks to try to lure the crabs in.

We didn’t have a ton of luck, but the kids didn’t want to give up.

They were intent on catching a daddy crab, mommy crab, Jack crab, Luke crab, and Kate crab.

We ended up staying out for almost three hours.

We came up a little short with only four crabs

It was absolutely exhausting and the kids slept on the way home

They woke up to enjoy a crab dinner. Some were bigger fans than others, but it was a fun adventure!

Just Beachy

We took a drive to Holly Beach for some fun in the sun

It was a gorgeous day - sun shining, not windy, not too humid.

We gathered shells and flew kites.

There was lots of digging in the sand

And showing off feats of strength

They worked together and had a great time.

Beach time is the best time!

Open For Business

The kids were anxious to open up the pool for the season. They begged and begged until we caved.

It was pretty chilly, but they didn’t seem to mind.

The next day, we had friends over to join in the water fun.  The kids swam

And ate and played.

We are ready for summer!

Into The Woods

During Spring Break, Dallin took the week off of work to join in the fun. We ventured up to the hunting lease to do some work, and of course, play.

We rode the four wheeler and shot guns.

It was a beautiful spring day and a good time with Daddy!

He Is Risen!

Happy Easter!

We were blessed in so many ways this Easter. Nana and Pop Pop came to visit.

We were able to watch General Conference and hear the words of our new prophet, Russell M Nelson

And of course, we enjoyed good food and Easter egg hunts.

Nana brought confetti eggs, which were a big hit.

We are so grateful for the sacrifice of our Savior!
