I...AM...SO...COLD!!!

It has been so cold this week! With the weather report saying that it is 11 degrees but that it feels like -4, I am freezing! Because it is so cold, there has been inside recess. No break from the kids, freezing conditions! Why do we live in Utah again?

I've Been Tagged!

MY HUSBAND....

What is his name?
Dallin Scott Coffman

How long have you been together?
Married for 5 months

How long did you date?
We dated for about 4 months before getting engaged, then we were engaged for 6 months.

How old is he?
He turns 23 on the Jan. 31st!

Who eats more?
Dallin, although I keep up pretty well unfortunately.

Who said I love you first?
I think it was me, but I really am not sure at all.

Who is taller?
We are just about the same height, depending on the shoes, but barefoot he's taller.

Who can sing better?
Dallin...I can't carry a tune to save my life.

Who is smarter?
I've got the book smarts, but Dallin keeps my ditziness in check. He's got the mechanical brain and can fix anything. Plus he's got common sense, something I sometimes lack.

Who does the laundry?
I do, although I came home from work last week and found all of our laundry washed and folded and put away. It was so awesome.

Who pays the bills?
Dallin. Once again, the one with the common sense.

Who sleeps in the right side?
Looking at the bed, Dallin.

Who mows the lawn?
I'm assuming Dallin will. We've only been living in a house with a yard since right before the snow began.

Who cooks dinner?
We switch off. Depending on who's busy or tired or who gets home first. Right now there's an amazing Chicken Pesto Pizza in the oven, made from scratch by my amazing husband.

Who drives?
Dallin. There are times when I have my issues with his driving, but for the most part we get along okay with this set-up.

Who is more stubborn?
I'm probably more stubborn. Dallin is very patient with me.

Who kissed who first?
Dallin kissed me, although I had to give him a lot signs since he was still slightly scared of girls right after the mission.

Who asked who out first?
I don't think there was ever really someone asking someone out. We were good friends before the mission and once he got back, I headed up to Utah to visit. I guess I asked him to pick me up at the airport.

Who proposed?
Dallin.

Who has more friends?
Dallin has more friends nearby. My friends are all spread out.

Who is more sensitive?
Me. Dallin's a tough guy who can be very sweet and loving.

Who has more siblings?
We have the same number, just flipped. I have 2 sisters and 1 brother. Dallin has 2 brothers and 1 sister.

Who wears the pants?
Definetly Dallin. What a man!

I tag Beth and Shelley!

Sunday...But Where Is the Sun?

I'm beginning to wonder if the sun ever comes out in Utah in the winter. We've lived in our new house for two months now and yesterday was the first time I've seen the sun shine into our house. I know that has to do with the fact that I leave for work before the sun comes up and get home just as it's going down, but seriously, only one sunny weekend day in 8 weekends? That's nuts! Hopefully we'll be able to see the sun a little more soon - I'm going through sun deprivation!

Today was our second week with our new Primary class. We teach the 8-9 year olds. Most of the class is fine, but there are just a couple of kids that can be quite interesting. One of the kids can not sit in a chair. He falls out of his chair and yells out all the time and says some pretty out-there things. Another one of the kids just gets mad when he doesn't get his way and today he took off. Dallin says he was like that in Primary when he was that age and this is payback. We're going to have to get really tough or this year is going to be awful.

On the bright side, we did have a tasty dinner. I made meatloaf in the Crock Pot, along with baked potatoes and carrots with a brown sugar sauce. Andrew ate with us and we were able to play a rousing game of LIFE afterwards. I won with my amazing career as first an athlete, then an entertainer. I beat Dallin the salesperson by just a little bit and Andrew the teacher/artist/doctor by a lot. Good times!

Captain Food Saver

We received a pretty nifty Christmas gift, a Food Saver to vacuum seal our food. Tonight we made a trek to Costco and stocked up on food. Dallin is now busily enjoying himself vacuum sealing all our food. Our freezer is now stocked. We don't need to shop again for awhile.

Check out Captain Food Saver in action.

Christmas in California

While in California, we were able to some pretty cool things.

We spent Christmas Eve with the family, including the coolest boy around, Wylde.

We spent time at the beach.

We enjoyed the beautiful Ojai view.
