Ready for Summer

Don't these baby feet look like they are ready for some summertime and warm weather?

Window Dressing

The weather has left a little to be desired lately.

Jack has spent a good portion of his time looking out the window, wishing for warmer days.

He loves the window in our front bedroom because he can sit on the bed and bang on the window and look at all the people going by.

He also thinks it's pretty cool to sit in the window in the living room, because this window is more dangerous. Mommy and Daddy have to hold him and he is always ready to fall. Hence the appeal, I guess.

But I'm pretty sure we have the cutest window dressings in the apartment complex.

He Likes Something

Saturday night the boys took me out to eat for Mother's Day.

We went to Costa Vida for some pork burritos and discovered that Jack likes Mexican food.

He "porked" out on our burritos, loving the beans and rice and the side of tortillas we got for him.

He would have kept eating if we hadn't run out of food.

Now that isn't the boy I'm used to.

Hooray for not throwing everything on the floor and actually consuming some food besides bread and Puffs!

My First Mother's Day

This was my first Mother's Day as a mother and my boys made it extra special.

They took me out to dinner on Saturday night.

The gave me a cute card with a Momma Bear and a Baby Bear.

They gave me a Bissell Steam Mop to help with the cleaning of Jack's plate, er, I mean the floor.

They gave me a beautiful frame of our family that says FAMILY: Forever, For always, and No Matter What

In Elder's Quorum, they made a card and gave me roses.

Dallin made a tasty cake.

It was a great day and I feel so blessed to be a mother!

My Little Scavenger

Jack doesn't like to eat food that you give to him.

He hates being fed baby food and if you put food on his tray of his high chair, most of the time he just throws it on the ground.

I guess that's his way of staying so skinny.

Yet, he will eat anything and everything he finds on the ground.

I think he may have eaten a bead the other day, although it's yet to make it's reappearance.

Sometimes I leave food in random places because then I know he'll eat it.

Maybe that's why he throws it on the floor - to save it for later.

We mop a lot around here.

Walking In Style

Daddy didn't want Jack to be too ghetto, just pushing chairs around. So he got Jack a sweet new ride. It's convertible - you can ride it and push it.
Needless to say, Jack loves it

How Does He Stand Up With That Thing?

My little gift, all wrapped up in wrapping paper...

We went to the doctor for Jack's 9 month check up.

The stats are in...

17 lbs, 6 oz (5th percentile)
28.1 inches long (38th percentile)
18.5 inches around the head (85th percentile)

Yes, Jack has a little body and a big head.

Of course he has a big head - he has to have room for that big brain!

Poor guy had one vaccination and the rest of his flu shots, plus a toe prick to check his iron.
He's looking healthy except for the ear infection that just won't go away!
Hopefully this round of antibiotics can help him out.
