Swimmer Baby

While in Denver we went swimming at their rec center.
Jack loved floating down the Lazy River.
In fact, he floated down it over and over again for over an hour.

Too bad he's so skinny and can't keep those swim trunks up!

Savannah's Baptism

This weekend we travelled to Denver for Savannah's baptism.
She looked beautiful and it was very special to watch her get baptized and confirmed by her dad.
Jack loved visiting with his cousins, despite the serious look on his face.

Now there's a smile, goofy as it may be.
He's happy to be surrounded by such beautiful ladies.

Big Brother In Training

This week we've been watching this little girl while her dad is injured.
Jack loves having her around and has been showing that he'll be ready to be a big brother when the time comes.
He wants to kiss her all the time.
He worries when she cries.
He helps me give her a bottle.
He rubs her back when she's sad.
He reads her books.
He brings her toys.
He seriously can't get enough of her.
Apparently Jack loves babies.

Read Any Good Books Lately?

Jack has been OBSESSED with books lately.

He'll sit in random places around the house (even his Bumbo seat from when he was little) and call out for his books.
We'll bring him a big pile of books and set them next to him.
He'll read each one then throw it into a pile on the other side.

Then he'll call out for Mom or Dad to gather the pile back up and put it next to him to start reading again. This can entertain him for a good half hour to 45 minutes.

We have such a good reader on our hands!

Sledding With Our Hero

On Saturday we got some more snow and headed to Rock Canyon Park to go sledding.
This was Jack's first time and he had a great time the first few times going down.

It was Uncle Will's first time too - we aren't quite sure how much fun he had.

Jack was a little afraid on this run, so he decided to sit it out after.

Then our trip got exciting. When we first got there, a guy was being driven out because he busted his arm while sledding off a jump. Less than ten minutes after he was taken out, we see a woman go sledding off that same jump, fly about 10 feet in the air, and land on her face. Dallin went over to see if she was okay - she was unconscious. He and another man turned her over. Dallin stayed with her while the man called 911. He kept her neck stabilized and when she came to, talked to her and tried to keep her with it until the ambulance got there. We were very glad to have him there and that he was so cool headed in the situation.

Mr. Goofy

Jack has recently pulled out a new smile for the camera and when you ask him for a grin.

Scrunch up your eyes, clench your teeth together, and open your mouth weird - that's the hot new look these days.

This picture is blurry, but gives a good view of Mr. Goofy

Sunny Days, Chasing the Clouds Away

A few weeks ago, we had a few nice days and took a walk.

Jack got this cool car for Christmas, but hasn't been able to take it outside yet, so he got pushed around town.

Yesterday was also a nicer day, so we headed out for another walk with our friends Addie and Hailey.

Addie didn't have her stroller, so she hitched a ride with Jack.
They looked so cute sitting together and kept cuddling.

Two cute little heads.

Hopefully spring is really coming soon so we can enjoy many more sunny days!
