Henderson Park

Once the weather cleared up, we hit the beach for the evening. 

Jack did not want to go because he didn't want to get sandy. But he ended up having a blast!

They ran and swam and played 

Kate played in the sand 

Had some dinner 

And joined her brothers for sand castle building 

We were with the coolest dudes in Destin 

We enjoyed dinner on the beach 

And managed to catch another beautiful sunset on the way back to the hotel!

Fudpuckers

The weather was wet so we spent the morning at Fudpuckers 

We fed alligators. 

And hugged alligators. 

We hung out in the arcade 

Jack hit the jackpot on one game and won 1000 tickets. We got some awesome prizes. 

After lunch we headed to Books A Million and Bass Pro Shop. We had fun checking everything else out. 

And when we were done the weather had cleared!

Baytowne Wharf

We visited the cute little village of Baytowne Wharf and there was lots to do and adventures to be had. 

We played on the playground

We raced boats

We enjoyed dinner at Grafitti and the Funky Blues Shack, where Jack discovered his love of fried shrimp  

Jack tried out one of the harness trampolines. 

He jumped so high and even did some flips 

Everybody had a blast on the carousel 

And of course we enjoyed sweet treats for dessert. 

The night we were there, they had an inflatable obstacle course that the boys loved. 

We didn't last until the fireworks, but witnessed this beautiful sunset on our way back to the hotel. 

First Grade

Jack started first grade today! He was excited to get back into school mode. He loves learning and structure. 

His teacher is Mrs Moon, so hopefully they reach for the stars 

We are excited to see how he learns and grows this year!

Beasley Park

Our first beach day was spent at Beasley Park. It was a great family friendly beach that wasn't crowded at all. 

We played in the waves 

And in the sand

The water was gorgeous. They don't call it the Emerald Coast for nothing!

We found this buried treasure. 

And attempted a sand castle. 

We had lots of happy faces!

 

It was an exhaustingly good time!

Florida or Bust

We had an amazing family vacation to Destin, Florida!

We had some very excited faces ready to hit the road. I picked up some toys from the $1 section at Target and filled little lunch boxes with them. Best money I ever spent. It kept the boys busy for hours!

We crossed the Mississippi River

And saw all kinds of cool sites and cities!

But we were very happy to arrive at our hotel.  It had a beautiful view of the bay. 

We got some dinner and had an evening swim 

And then got rested up for our first beach day!
