Kate has lots of pretty curly blonde hair. We were finally able to put it in pigtails and it was adorable. It lasted until she fell asleep in the car, but she was extremely cute during that stretch!

P is for Preschool
For preschool we were busy because P is for PARTY! We wore our pajamas, created pirates, ate pancakes and Pirate's Booty, uses Paw Patrol stickers and played pirate games.

Super Saturday
We had a busy Saturday. Jack had his first basketball practice of the season.
Afterwards we hit the mall. The boys got new basketballs and the rest of us got new shoes. Kate loved trying on shoes and modeling. Then she proudly carried her new shoes to the register to pay and insisted on carrying the bag while she walked through the mall.
We had to stop and play for awhile.
Once we were home there was lots of dribbling of basketballs and modeling of shoes.
She even wanted to wear them to church the next day. Sadly they didn't match her outfit...

Getting Dirty
Our backyard is prone to flooding so we ordered some dirt to fill in the low spots. It was quite the delivery!
We were then left with a huge pile of dirt in the front yard!
The kids wasted no time getting dirty.
They spent hours climbing the pile.
Our kind neighbor used his tractor to move all the dirt to the backyard. Bring on the rain!

Smarty Pants
I have three little smarty pants who love to do homework each day. Luke is getting good at recognizing his letters and numbers and works hard in his notebook.
Kate is a budding artist and loves markers. She colors pictures and then wants them hung on her art board so she can admire them.
Jack made honor roll again this term and he loves to read. Every evening he settles in to read. He has finished two Magic Treehouse chapter books in the last three days! I love that he's inherited my love of reading and will be a good example to his brother and sister.

Ringing in 2016
Nana and Pop Pop came to ring in the new year with us! We lit up the fire pit
And busted out the fireworks. Three generations of Coffman men put on a very good show and were very excited.
Kate enjoyed watching. There were big fireworks and lots of snappers.
Then we headed in for a movie and sparkling cider. Luke lasted until 8, Kate passed out on the floor at 9, and Jack made it until 10. The adults made it until 10:30
On New Year's Day we celebrated with black eyed peas and cabbage for luck.
And of course more fireworks! Luke got in on the action
Jack LOVES fireworks like his dad and grandpa.
There were some amazing fireworks lighting up the sky.
It was a fun way to bring 2016 in with a bang!
