Red Sox Opener

Jack and the Red Sox kicked off their baseball season. 

Jack batted well and scored every time. 

He's one of the fastest on his team and is very focused on the game. 

He played short stop and did really well at pitcher, tagging people out. 

We are looking forward to a great season!

Astros Opening Day

The Astros kicked off their season and Luke was so excited. He was up at 5:30, asking if it was time to play yet. 

He kept busy with Opening Ceremonies, pictures, and TWO games!

But he had a smile the whole time!

The Seeds We Sow

We planted our garden. The boys loved getting their hands dirty. First we planted flowers in our flower pots. 

Once we moved on, Kate came and unplanted the flowers. So we got to do it twice (and a few more times since then). 

Then we moved onto the garden. 

This year we have tomatoes, lettuce, strawberries, four kinds of peppers, cucumbers, zucchini, and cilantro. 

I can't wait to taste the fruits of our labor!

Basketball Dude

Jack finished his basketball with a bang. 

He improved so much this season. He has become more aggressive, and improved in passing and rebounding. 

He even got the award for Best Dribbler on his team. 

He says he definitely wants to play again next season!

Volcanoes

At preschool this week it was all about the letter V! The highlight was our home made volcanoes. We used baking soda, vinegar, dish soap, water and washable paint. They loved and we used a whole jug of vinegar doing eruption after eruption. We also decorated vases and ate veggie straws. 

Let the Games Begin

Baseball season is officially upon us and the boys had their first practices this week. Jack is on the Red Sox and has the same coaches from last year while Luke is on the Astros again with his assistant coach now his head coach. 

Jack is the fastest kid on his team. Luke is pretty awesome and he knows it. 

My conversation with Luke after his baseball practice. 

M: you did really well tonight. You're a good baseball player 

L: who is the best player on the team?

M: oh I don't know. There's lots of good players. 

L: but who is the very very very best player?

M: I don't know. Who do you think it is?

L: (very matter of factly) Luke 

Customers

This weekend we had customers aka visitors. Nana, Aunt Bethany and Carter came to visit! We had fun cousin time!

We played with toys and shared pretty well. 

We gave more hugs than hits. 

We watched Jack play basketball and ran and rolled around on the floor. 

We watched Luke practice baseball. 

And we went shopping with Nana! Can life get any better?
