Hotel Living

We kicked off our vacation with a stop in Houston so Dallin could work. 

Our hotel had a fun pool with a waterfall, ramp and hot tub. We also had fun in the gym working out and exploring the rest of the area! 

Party Time Part 1

Jack celebrated his birthday the whole week leading up to it. He had a some friends over for swimming, burgers, 

And jumping! 

He requested a cookie cake. 

And even got to wear the birthday hat and glasses!

He was super excited to open presents! 

Just moments after he finished, thunder started rumbling and it was pouring rain! 

We had to hurry inside to finish out our fun! 

He had fun despite the rain!

Art Camp

Jack attended five days of art camp with his favorite, Ms Julie. 

They learned a lot. They had a lesson on Monet and painted in his style. Plus tons of other masterpieces! 

Backyard Paradise

Our backyard just keeps getting better and better. Jack got an early birthday present - a trampoline! All three kids are in heaven! 

Plus we upgraded to a bigger pool. My fish are super excited! 

Our backyard is just full of fun now!

God Bless the USA

We love celebrating our country! 

Kate wore her patriotic dress to church and insisted on posing in front of the flag 

On the morning of the 4th we got crafty. 

We made Popsicle stick flags 

And soldiers 

Dallin was able to take a short break to come home from a job in Baton Rouge to spend the day with us. We were invited to BBQ and swim with the Burnthorns and their family and friends. We had tons of fun swimming and playing. By the time we got home, we were zonked. So we napped. 

And the the fireworks show began 

Kate loved the one sparkler she did - until she burned her little hand. 

Then we just observed from the deck 

It was an amazing show, as usual! 

We love our country!

Swim Mania

Jack went to swim camp and Luke had swimming lessons. At the camp, they have a 45 minute lesson, 15 minutes of water play. Then they have snacks and crafts for an hour while the little kids go to lessons. Then more lessons and water play! 

Both boys loved it. Luke was the best swimmer in his class. Jack improved a lot and can swim the length of the pool using the freestyle stroke. 

Here's to another successful year!

Time For A Check Up

Kate had her two year check up with the doctor. She weighs 25 pounds and is 33 inches tall. Her speech is great and she is cute to boot. And no clue why she's decided that sleep is overrated these days.
