Kicking Off Mardi Gras

Today is the last day of school before Mardi Gras break! And it was a party!

]

Luke was picked to be the Mardi Gras king of his class.  He got to walk in the school Mardi Gras parade and throw out beads.

The parade was super fun and had some cool costumes.

The rest of the day was spent eating Cajun food and learning about Louisiana culture. Laissez les bon temps roulez!

Chicka Chicka Boom Boom

Today was our day to host preschool and we did T is for TREE.  We read the book Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and had lots of alphabet tree activities.

We even ate trees.

We had lots of fun practicing our letters!

Wanna Be A Baller

Basketball season has officially kicked off and we have two players this year!  Jack is a returning player for the Heat and Luke is playing on the Lakers with the same coach Jack had when he was on that team.  We are excited for some exciting games!

Feeling the Love

Happy Valentine's Day! We dressed in red and pink and gave Valentines to our friends.

Dallin made his traditional Valentine's gourmet meal.  Honey glazed salmon, parmesan crusted asparagus, and roasted carrots with Scotch eggs on the side.  It was AMAZING!

Cowgirl Kicker

Kate was a cheerleader for the day!

The McNeese Cowgirl Kickers had a cheer clinic where they taught the girls a routine that they performed at the halftime of a basketball game.

Kate was so excited!

She was the best performer of the bunch and we were amazed at how well she knew the routine after only a morning of practice.

Our girl is a rock star.  She now has a poster of the Cowgirl Kickers on her wall and she can't stop performing!

Million Word Man

Jack has been a reading fool this year.  He was the top reader in the school for the second quarter.

And he made it into the Million Word Club for the second year in a row.

Now he's working towards getting TWO million words!
