Halloween Eve

Tonight we carved our pumpkins.

Everyone had their own pumpkin.

Jack had a baby pumpkin.

Daddy had a daddy-sized pumpkin

Mommy had a mommy-sized pumpkin

Do you see the resemblance?

Voila!

Happy Halloween!

In other Halloween Eve news, Jack woke up from his nap in a very happy mood, so I thought, hey, let's take pictures of him in his Halloween costume.

Weeks ago I had purchased a very cute jack-0-lantern costume. It seemed to be big with room to grow. I was so excited for my little Jack to be a jack-0-lantern and so proud of myself for planning ahead.

Well, someone had a huge growth spurt in the last three weeks. The costume was WAY too small. He is way too tall for it. Panic set in. Luckily Target let me return it without a receipt, but they were very picked over in the baby costume department (hey, it's the day before Halloween, for heaven's sake). I felt like I looked like such a bad mom, waiting to get my kid's costume the day before. But I tried.

We tried another store, but, alas, they too were out of jack-o-lantern costumes. So we got something else.

Stay tuned tomorrow for this last minute costume...

Mommy's Little Helper

Jack likes to be involved in everything I do these days...
so today he helped with the laundry!

Mr. Wiggles

Moments later...

Someone has learned to scoot on his back.

(Oh, and guess what he maneuvered himself to face.
The TV, of course.)

It's the Great Pumpkin, Jack Baby

Last night Charlie Brown was on.

I thought that Jack would have no interest, but due to his cranky disposition (7-8 tends to be his fussy time), I thought I'd try to distract him with it for a little bit.

Little did I know that he would love it. He sat there mesmerized, sometimes talking to it. He very much liked it.

Only problem - he wished it was commercial free. Every commercial really ticked him off. Luckily Charlie Brown came back and he was all better.

Guess Who's In Town?

And right outside our apartment...
ESPN College Game Day was broadcasting live from the BYU football stadium parking lot...which happens to be very close to our apartment.

Now things are usually crazy around here on game days, but it was extra crazy and the game doesn't even start for 5 more hours.

People were camped out all night (and we even discovered a tent right outside our bedroom window this morning)

Screaming started at 5am.

The marching band started at about 7:30.

And amazingly, super exhausted Jack slept right through it. He was out late last night
(maybe he needs a curfew?)

Let's hope all the excitement can be channelled into a win for the Cougars!
