A Rainbow of Eggs

We had a great time dyeing our Easter eggs!

We worked hard writing on them

Picking just the right color

And making sure it was the perfect hue (Jack was very meticulous about his eggs)

We were very proud of the finished product.

Happy Easter!

Boil Up Dem Crawfish

We went to the annual Trahan Easter crawfish boil and had a blast. I didn't take many pictures, except for topless Kate checking out the donkeys. We keep it classy. We had a great time eating delicious food, chatting with great friends, and getting dirty. The boys rode scooters, played croquet, and rolled down hills. They were coated in dirt when we left. Kate crawled around and charmed everyone with her smile. It was a great way to spend Good Friday!

Easter Fun

We've done some fun Easter activities around town. We went to Easter story time at the library.

They read Easter stories, had an egg hunt, and even met the Easter bunny.

We also helped out at Jack's class Easter party. We hid the eggs for the hunt.

And watched as he hunted for his eggs.

And we even got to join in on their ice cream sundae party. It was a blast!

April Fools!

The boys were pleasantly surprised when I told them we were having cupcakes for dinner.

And not so pleasantly surprised when they discovered they were meatball cupcakes with mashed potato frosting.

April Fools!

Easter Best

Since Easter falls on General Conference, the kids wore their Easter clothes the week before and looked super cute. We did a photo shoot to document their cuteness.

We tried out a few different locales but eventually settled on the backyard.

For the last year, we've struggled to get a good picture of Jack with a good smile. Today that ended! He looked so handsome and gave us the cutest smiles! He looks like such a man!

Luke was very proud of his new clothes. After he got dressed, he told me that Sister Morris (his Sunbeam teacher) was definitely going to tell him that he looked handsome. He's handsome and he knows it!

Kate wanted to take that bow out all day, but still looked gorgeous as always.

I am in love with how cute these pictures turned out and already have them printed out and hanging on the wall!

Dreams Do Come True

For the last year, Luke has talked about when he will play baseball. He has practiced in our backyard and looked forward to the day that he gets play. Well today was the big day!

He got his Astros uniform at Opening Ceremonies and looked very sharp.

It was a beautiful spring day to be at the baseball fields.

He hit well and had fun running the bases.

He even fielded the ball once. His coach said that if he had a team full of Luke's, they'd only need one coach because he's such a good listener.

At the end of the game he was given a ticket because he was the MVP!!!

The ticket got him a free snow cone.

It was the best day ever!!

Splashing Around

The weather has been beautiful this week so we have been visiting the park as much as possible.

We love going to the splash pad!

Kate loves the water. I set her down next to it

She immediately started squealing and crawling into it.

And before I knew it she was soaked and happy as can be!

We have lots of fun ahead of us this summer!!

And then out of the blue it got super cold tonight at baseball! Luckily it should warm up again tomorrow!
