Laughlin Day 1

We were so excited to get to Laughlin and get out on the lake. We set up camp and quickly hit the tubes.

We had lots of cute faces onboard

Sass and Jack went first. He loved it and quickly picked up the hand signals and was asking to go faster.

The little girls tried it. They had fun, but didn't last long.

Luke was very nervous and didn't want to get on. But once we got going, he had a great time.

Dallin and I even made a run and had a blast!

After a long day in the sun, we hit the buffet for dinner.

Aunt Kathleen got the girls matching dresses and they looked adorable.

We enjoyed checking out the classic car show

And the beautiful river view at sunset.
It was a great start to our vacation!

On the Road

We spent a lot of time on the road, driving from Louisiana to Nevada. Texas took a long time, so we were excited to see the New Mexico sign.

We stayed in Tucson and were amaze at the giant saguaro cactus.

On Sunday we stopped off at the Mesa Temple. We explored the grounds and the visitors center.

We took a break at a mall in Phoenix before heading on to meet up with our family in Laughlin!

Party Time, Part 2

Our next stop - San Antonio and Nana and Pop Pop's house - just in time for Jack's birthday!

We even had cousins come over for the fun. Carter came

And brought his new baby sister, Camille.

Nana made delicious tacos per Jack's request. He ate three! And then we did lots of swimming!

Kate spent the evening with Pop Pop, bossing him around. "I tell Pop Pop come," she said.

She even convinced him to throw her all over the pool, even off the waterfall.

The birthday boy loved swimming and was all over the place!

He finished out the night with a cookie cake and presents!

We love our smart, creative, kind, handsome seven year old!

Houston Museum of Natural Science

While Dallin worked, we visited the museum! We went to the 3D movie, Dinosaurs Alive! It scared the kids a ton! They don't like to be that close to dinosaurs.

But they had no fear when it came to the dinosaur bones. It's their favorite part.

And they are always up for a visit to the Butterfly Exhibit.

They really wanted to have a butterfly land on them, but no such luck!

So they acted like bees. Luke was the king bed, Jack the drone, and Kate the worker bee. Cutest bees I've ever seen!

Our busy little worker bee!

It was another successful museum visit! We love this place!

Hotel Living

We kicked off our vacation with a stop in Houston so Dallin could work.

Our hotel had a fun pool with a waterfall, ramp and hot tub. We also had fun in the gym working out and exploring the rest of the area!

Party Time Part 1

Jack celebrated his birthday the whole week leading up to it. He had a some friends over for swimming, burgers,

And jumping!

He requested a cookie cake.

And even got to wear the birthday hat and glasses!

He was super excited to open presents!

Just moments after he finished, thunder started rumbling and it was pouring rain!

We had to hurry inside to finish out our fun!

He had fun despite the rain!

Art Camp

Jack attended five days of art camp with his favorite, Ms Julie.

They learned a lot. They had a lesson on Monet and painted in his style. Plus tons of other masterpieces!
