It’s not the Easter season until you’ve dyed Easter eggs! 

Luckily we are in the egg business and have lots for the picking.


We had egg-perts helping us color them.


We made sure they were the perfect shade.


They even wrote secret messages on them.

After the demise of our Outlander, we decided to take the plunge and get a minivan. Meet the Swagger Wagon...

Jack has said in the past that his dream car is a red minivan. His dreams are coming true. The kids love all the buttons and we love all the space.

Egg Pacquing Champ

🥚Wanna know the secret to being the egg pacquing champion of the whole third grade? Raise your own chickens and use those eggs fresh from your backyard. 

🥚PS egg pacquing (egg pocking) is a Cajun Easter tradition where you knock eggs and the winner is the one whose eggs doesn’t crack. Like I said, our chickens lay some pretty amazing eggs round here. They taste good too 🥚

Rodeo Clowns

Not to be outdone by his brother and sister, Lucas went on an Easter egg hunt AND a field trip.

The kindergarten hosted an egg hunt on the playground and he came home with all kinds of treasures.


The next day, they went on a field trip to the McNeese Rodeo. Dallin even got to go with him!


Fittingly, this cowboy was his favorite since he’s such a goofy kid.


They had fun watching all the events and meeting some of the cowboys. Yee haw!

Hopping Down the Bunny Trail

Story time at the library was Easter themed!


They even had eggs hidden around the library


Kate was very excited to do her first official egg hunt of the year.


We met up with some fun friends.


She brought in a big haul of eggs.

The Easter bunny was there, but she wouldn’t go near him. So we got a picture with Blaire instead!

We Love Our Teachers Even More

Remember last week when we were bragging about how awesome our teachers are? Well, tonight Ms Guillory came to Jack’s baseball game and proved to be his lucky charm. He had his best hit of the season! Thanks for always supporting Jack!

Bring on the Science

Jack’s Spark class went on a field trip to the Museum of Science in Lafayette and Kate and I tagged along.


It was Jack’s kind of place with dinosaurs, robotics, and space info.


He loved checking out all the cool exhibits.



And you know he loves everything about dinosaurs!


They also went to a show in the planetarium.

We love hanging out with our budding astronomer, paleontologist, and scientist!
