Utah Cousins

We stayed the night at Andrew and Lacie's and had fun playing with our cousins.

Andrew built a fort in the basement and they watched a movie and had a slumber party.

In the morning, everyone was up but Luke and Paris.  Soon I heard hysterical laughing.  When I went to investigate, they were still laying in their sleeping bags, cracking each other up.  It's great to be 6!

It was so awesome to see every single cousin on this trip!

Cougar Babies

Next we went to Provo, Utah and met up with my old roommate, Mikenze, and her four kids, on BYU campus.

We ate yummy ice cream at the Creamery and walked around campus. The kids were amazed at the underground section of the library.

We hit the Bookstore and saw Cosmo, as well as got our BYU shirts.

It's amazing how much time has gone by, and yet so much has stayed the same.

Temple Square

Next stop: Salt Lake City!

We visited the LDS Conference Center.

And Temple Square.

The kids loved the visitor's center and seeing the Christus.

It was cool to see where we watch General Conference every year.  It's so much bigger than on TV.

We just missed a concert at the Tabernacle.

But Kate gave us a good show!

It was so beautiful on the temple grounds.

We also visited the Joseph Smith Memorial Building.

I love to see the temple, I'm going there someday...

Jack loved reading everything and learning as much as possible about the history of the temple.

Burley Or Bust

We began the slow trek back to Louisiana with lots of stops along the way.  Our first stop was Burley, Idaho to stay a night at Will and Bethany's house.

The kids loved playing in their awesome basement full of toys.

And slip and sliding.

There was lots of cruising up and down the street.

Jack even found my old longboard and gave it a try.

We had fun playing with our sweet Burley cousins.

Kate loves baby Bekah.

We ventured out for some yummy Italian ice.  It was delicious! It was fun seeing where Will and Bethany live!

The Sand Dunes

On our final day in Rexburg, we went out to play at the sand dunes.

The kids caught tadpoles.

The sand was pretty hot, so we had to stay cool in the water.

Jack heard a rumor that there was a leech in the water and absolutely refused to go in the water.

He amused himself in the sand and with lots of complaining.

Eventually he just spent his time in the net.  What a way to spend the day in the sand!

Girl’s Night Out

The ladies (and baby Bekah) met up for Girl's Night.  We ate lots of candy and grooved along to the new Mamma Mia! movie.  We are all dancing queens now!

Huckleberry Picking

Jared took the caravan of minivans off-roading to show us his favorite huckleberry picking spot.

We had to hike part of the way, but we managed to find lots of huckleberries.

In Idaho, everyone is very protective of their huckleberry picking spot.  No one divulges where they pick.  So it's a big deal that Jared shared it with us.  Shhhhhhh....

We left with some bags of huckleberries! Now we are experts and can (hopefully) find our way back to this secret spot.
