I Love To See the Temple

A beautiful day in Baton Rouge today.  We were able to tour the newly rebuilt Baton Rouge Temple before it is dedicated.

It was beautiful and had such an amazing spirit.  The kids especially loved seeing the celestial room.

Afterwards we had a delicious lunch at J. Alexander's and then caught a quick peek of LSU Tiger Stadium.

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween from a werewolf, a zombie, and a unicorn!

We were even lucky enough to have Grammy and Gramp there to visit.

We met up with friends for trick or treating.  The weather was absolutely perfect - not the usual sweaty Halloween we normally have.

Have a spooky Halloween!

Batter Birthday

Lucas had an awesome party at the batting cages.

They got to hit for awhile.

Then it was time for dodgeball! That was a free for all of fun!

Then, of course, cake and presents!

After the game he settled in to watch the Astros play in the World Series.  Can't ask for a better birthday than that!

Shivering at Soccer

Lucas started his birthday off with his final soccer game of the year!

It was freezing cold, but that didn't seem to faze him.  He still played hard!

The rest of us, on the other hand, were freezing.

After soccer, he got to open another gift - a skateboard!  He's been dreaming of being a skateboarding dude!

EIGHT!

Eight years ago we were blessed with the sweetest, chubbiest little baby.  He was a momma's boy who couldn't stand to have me out of his sight.  Now he's a tall, skinny, independent man, who loves all things sports, playing outside with friends, and has the silliest sense of humor that keeps us laughing.  Happy birthday, Lucas! We are proud of you!

Farewell Friends!

"How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard." - Winnie the Pooh

So sad to say goodbye to our friends, the Hones. We made a lot of fun memories over the last year - it was just too short!

Bye Bye, Bea Bea

Bittersweet day saying goodbye to my sidekick.  I've been her sitter for 18 months and have watched her grow and change so much. I'll miss her cute face, but I'm so excited to see how well she does at preschool.  (And I'm excited for a little more freedom for me too!)

MayMay loves BeaBea!
