We Love Cousins

Here's a sneak peek of our Labor Day weekend. We spent the weekend in Denver visiting Jack's cousins. And boy does he love those girls!

Jack and the ladies

One with no front teeth, the other has only front teeth

Hug fest!

Post hug fest

One of my favorite pictures.
Jack was going in to hug Briley and I love how they are looking at each other!

Jack wishes he lived closer to his cousins so he could play with them more often!

Walking in the Early Morn

Jack gets up early, ridiculously early in my book. And he loves to be outside. So we usually hit the road for a walk by 7am every morning. Many things happen on our little walks.

Jack likes to stuff his little mouth full of Kix cereal while we walk. And sometimes he worries that we'll get lost, so he throws his Kix out, one by one, to leave a trail, just like Hansel and Gretel.

While leaning back to say hello to me, he's also noticed the moon and cracks up every time he sees it. I sang a song about the moon once and now he insists that I sing it every time he sees the moon. Sometimes it's embarrassing when other people are passing by us.

Jack likes to walk where there are lots of people. So we tend to walk in the area of BYU campus so that we can see all the students heading to school. He always waves hello as they pass by.

Sadly, no one ever waves back. Today we got a smile from a girl, but that's about it. Poor Jack, but he still keeps on trying.

On Thursday we saw Uncle Andrew on his scooter on our morning walk. Now every time a scooter passes by, Jack looks at me to confirm if it's Uncle Andrew or not. When I say it's not, he then makes his high pitched little questioning sound and raises his hands in the air, wondering where the heck Uncle Andrew is then.

Jack also loves to see the birdies. We are constantly bird watching.

We love our morning walks and don't know what we're going to do when it gets too cold to go!

Kissy, Kissy

Jack has been quite the little kisser.

You ask for a kiss, most likely you'll get one, regardless of who you are.

We get lots and lots and lots of kisses and hugs everyday.

And we're not the only ones.

He tries to give kisses to his friends, his uncles, everyone. He even gave kisses to a member of the bishopric a few weeks ago.

So if you see Jack, ask for a kiss. You just might get one.

A Change Will Do You Good

I've always been a fan of August. It's a summer month, it's warm, and it's fun. But this year, I'll admit that I'm glad to see August go. It wasn't the best month in the Coffman house. With surgery, 3 new baby teeth, and a baby that is sleeping worse than usual, I haven't been the happiest camper. To ring in a new month, we've all got hair cuts around here. Hopefully the change will do us good.
Above is my new haircut, plus the before pic of Jack's hair. I cut off about 4 or 5 inches. It feels so light and free.

Here's Jack in the tub, post haircut.
Why the serious face?

Here he lightens up.

Even though this is the third haircut for Jack, it is still sad to see his cute little curls on the floor. His hair had become so thick and long around the ears, the cut was needed. And of course he still looks very handsome.

I didn't get a picture of Dallin, but stay tuned to see his awesome new look :-)

The Fruits of Our Labors

Our garden has really started producing lately and we're enjoying all sorts of fresh produce.

We have lots of tomatoes, peppers, zuchinni, and squash.

Plus we had two strawberries yesterday.

Sadly our beans and cucumbers didn't turn out too hot.

And we're waiting to see how the butternut squash is.

We're excited to make our second batch of salsa - the first was scrumptious!

Don't be jealous because we have an awesome garden!

Back to School

BYU starts today so we are losing Dallin to the busy grind of school, work, and homework

We sent him off early this morning with his backpack and lunch.

We're excited that this is his last Fall semester and only one more semester after this!

He didn't get to wear stylish new school clothes since he had to go to work too, but we think he looks great!

P.S. Dallin thought I was weird for wanting to take his picture on the first day of school, but I think it's cute.

P.S.S. Does anyone else think it's cool that Jack is exactly 1 year, 1 month, 1 week, and 1 day old. I guess tonight at 10:28, we can add 1 hour to it too!
