Easter Fun
Preschool today was full of fun Easter activities.
We matched capital letters to lowercase letters with plastic eggs.
Then we hid those eggs with things that begin with that letter. And had fun finding them again.
We graphed jelly bean colors.
Counted jelly beans into the jar
And finished and created jelly bean patterns.
We also had eggs with dots on the top. We had to match the number of dots to its correct number.
We also learned about the -at word families and illustrated how we now know how to read -at words like cat, bat, etc.
We had a sweet Easter treat with our regular snack.
We loved our day of Easter fun!

Sick Boy
On our last night at Nana and Pop Pop's house, Luke began running a fever. Coupled with a cough, we were worried so we took him to the doctor as soon as we got home. After a chest x- Ray, he determined Luke had an early case of pneumonia.
Poor boy was miserable, especially as the fever spiked to 103.7. We ended up trying two different antibiotics since the first was so disgusting that he couldn't keep it down.
He has also been doing breathing treatments to help with the cough.
He is doing a lot better now. No fever and a little cough left. But he gave us a good scare!

And a show with amazing divers and beluga whales.

Zebra Stripes
So I'm about a week behind in blogging, since this is about preschool LAST Tuesday. We finished the alphabet, all the way to Z is for Zebra!
We watched a video teaching about zebras, then cut out black strips to glue on our Z to make a Z zebra.
We read some books about zebras, including A is for Zebra. We also read the poem Fuzzy Wuzzy and circled all the z's.
We reviewed our vowel sounds, then went "hunting" for vowel zebras with our water guns. I would say a word and they had to shoot the vowel it started with
We practiced our new and old sight words and did our regular workbook practice.
I've been asked if we are done with preschool now that we have finished the alphabet. No! We took this week off since Luke is really sick, but will work on rhyming, review, and more sight words through May!

Water Babies
The weather is warming up and my water babies are back. Since the pool isn't up yet, they are taking advantage of the SPRINKLERS!
Their first time was a spontaneous, post sand box adventure in their underwear.
Now they beg to play everyday!
